Susan Ratliff

Susan Ratliff began her real estate career in 1990 following a successful career in both advertising and publishing. She has consistently been a top producer in her firm with sales in the $10-$15M range annually for the past 15-years.  She listens to her clients and strongly believes in powerful advocacy by always putting the client’s interest first.   At the initial listing appointment, she recommends an asking price based on an extensive market analysis report.  Susan then negotiates all contract and communication with their sellers.  The foundation of her business is really very simply; she represents her clients the way she would like to be represented.  Most importantly, this process is not transaction based, but relationship based.  Her goal is to be there for her clients as their real estate professional for all of their real estate needs.  She created The Ratliff Team in 1997 in order to give a higher level of service to her clients.  The team functions much like a team of physicians.  One of the team members is always on-call for their clients or sign/ad calls on their listings.  This concept has been beneficial to provide a seamless transaction for the client. 

Susan’s community involvement has been extensive over the years.  She is the founder and past president of the Vista Docents, a group providing tours of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals at the Vista del Arroyo Courthouse. She is an associate member of the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, a Clockwatcher of the San Marino National Charity League, and a past president and active member of the Los Altos Auxiliary in La Cañada. Her husband, Dick served as president of the Tournament of Roses Association in 1999 and they are both involved in the annual Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game. Susan and Dick are the parents of four children and nine grandchildren. They reside in La Cañada Flintridge and enjoy playing golf and entertaining. In the summer, they especially enjoy spending time at their Seal Beach cottage and their vacation home on the Oregon Coast.
