Jason Berns

Jason grew up in La Canada Flintridge and went through the La Canada school system, eventually graduating from Westmont College. He and his family were very involved in the community, and from this involvement Jason witnessed from an early age the value and importance of relationships. Relationships, therefore, are a driving force in all that he does personally and professionally, and his life is defined by his priority relationships with God, family and friends.

Jason is grateful for the opportunities he’s had to travel and see the world for work and play, making him that much more aware of the blessing of living in the San Gabriel Valley. The opportunity to work as a Realtor® helping friends, family and referred clients who buy and sell in our area is a great privilege for him.

Prior to entering real estate, Jason worked as a teaching tennis professional, allowing him to live and work in Hawaii, the US Virgin Islands, Europe, Australia and other countries. Whether coaching a student picking up a racquet for the first time, or working with a women’s Wimbledon finalist, Jason’s experience showed him the values of perseverance, hard work and patience. Jason also taught at the elementary school level and loved the reward of instilling a foundation for a lifetime of learning in his students.

Lessons Jason’s learned on the court and in the classroom are, in his mind, life lessons which carry over to real estate, where Jason has become a top producer with Dickson Podley REALTORS® in his first two years in the business. A part of his role as a Realtor® is as an educator, and his background as well as desire to educate serve his clients well. Real estate is an industry requiring a great deal of stamina, fortitude, vigor and endurance. Jason’s clients have spoken of his commitment to their best interests, his ability to listen, his patience, and his trustworthiness – all considered to be defining characteristics in working with him. His experience in all aspects of the real estate transaction – sales negotiation to managing myriad details, relocation to trust sales, title insurance and escrow – has not only contributed to his reputation as a top Realtor®, it has also allowed him to call each client he’s worked with a friend.
